The M90 Series machine is a moving table, fixed gantry CNC router, and capable of full five axis simultaneous motions with extremely fast accelerations.
MACHINE:
Mechanical structures of the M90-510 were designed using Finite Element Analysis, a sophisticated CAD technology that intensely analyzes strength, stiffness and the dynamics of the machine structure. All weldments are stress relieved to increase strength, stiffness and provide long term stability.
M90 WORK TABLE:
• 60-inch wide by 120-inch deep, solid aluminum table. The table travels front to back and are equipped with 3/8 – 16 threaded inserts on 12-inch centers.
EXTENDED Z AXIS:
• 48-inch vertical (Z) axis to replace standard 24-inch Z axis
FIXTURE VACUUM:
• The machine is equipped with 1" conventional vacuum hold-down system. Includes a valve and fixture plumbing connection mounted at the front edge of
the table. A 1" pump connection is provided at the base of the machine. (Vacuum pump sold separately)
HIGH FLOW VACUUM HOLD DOWN:
• Table equipped with dual zone high flow vacuum hold-down system.
• Includes dual high-flow plumbing ports with two pneumatic open/close
switches. Includes vacuum plenum and high flow spoil board.
VACUUM PRESSURE SENSOR SWITCHES:
• Senses the on/off status of vacuum hold down pressure. Once vacuum pressure is achieved, activating the machine cycle start button will allow the machine to continue.

SPINDLE RPM OVERRIDE WITH MANUAL ON/OFF SWITCH:
• The switch is mounted to the front panel of the control cabinet allowing the
operator to manually turn the router motor off and on, and also over-ride the programmed router rpm.
TOOL CHANGE ROUTER:
• One (1) 12HP, 3,000 - 24,000 RPM variable speed router.

external intake filter and starter (either low voltage or high voltage). Includes, inlet filtering, electric starter, and approximately 15 feet of vacuum hose channeled from the pump to the machine base. This vacuum pump should not be operated in ambient temperatures that are below 5°C / 41° F, or exceed 45° C/113°F.
Note: This vacuum pump is designed to operate at an elevation not to exceed 2,600 feet above sea level. Operation above 2,600 will require a high-altitude option.

Equipped with a four (4) position Automatic Tool Changing System
• Includes four (4) ISO-30 tapered tool holders with four (4) collets, and preset tool change fixture.
• Standard maximum tool size is 2” diameter, and 6" length.
NOTE: Tooling longer
than 3 inches in length could cause clearance issues, and may damage the machine. The customer must limit the maximum RPM based on tooling vendor requirements for all tools exceeding 3” in length. MANUAL TOOL CHANGE:
IMPACT RESISTANT FIVE AXIS HEAD:
• A positive locating joint between the axis 5 arm and the rest of the machine. Decreases the amount of force applied to the head in the event of a collision, diminishes the need for realignment, and reduces fixture and spindle damage. The Impact Resistant Head can also be "locked out" in the event machining forces exceed the device limitations.
CONTINUOUS C AXIS:
• The continuous C axis improves system performance by simplifying operations and eliminates the possibility of damaged wire within movable joints. Maintenance-free metal contacts provide long life with error-free data communication transmission.
TOOL LENGTH SENSOR (HIGH TOLERANCE):
• The TS27R is the standard tool setting probe for machining center applications. A compact, robust design allows simple fitment to the machine bed or bracket mounting where appropriate. The device repeatability is rated at .001.
FIVE AXIS ALIGNMENT VERIFICATION
• The alignment verification routine is utilized to record and populate the measure values into the Thermwood control system, after machine alignments are
manually performed. The routine compares the measured values to the default values. The Thermwood 5 axis verification routine requires the Renishaw high- tolerance tooling sensor. This option includes a precision ground pin, dedicated tool holder, collet and all mounting hardware. NOTE: This procedure does
not realign the machine axes.
AUTOMATIC LUBRICATION SYSTEM:
